About Me
I am an artist, illustrator, art teacher, explorer, and story-teller. My favorite way to document life's experiences is through art. I have taught art for 25 years to every age from pre- school to adult. Over the past 12 years, I have focused on high school Advanced Placement Art. My students and I have won numerous local, regional, and national art awards.
I became inspired to illustrate my observations by using visual story telling to encourage creative thinking and develop empathy by seeing the world through another person (or creature’s) point of view. Visual story telling is exciting because every time the book is read it can be a new story!
I love spending time with my grown children and a little pink Seastar that calls me “Mimi”! I love animals and being outdoors in nature, preferably at the beach!
